Fairways and greens.
Ready for play every morning.
Golf courses demand a precision and consistency that many greenkeeping teams struggle to deliver. Autonomous robots mow short and evenly, remove dew and collect balls on the driving range. The team focuses on the craft.
What every grounds manager recognises.
A robot takes over the repetitive work, without extra staff or complicated scheduling.
Early tee times
Greens and tees must be ready for the first flight. That means mowing in the dark or with a large crew.
Shortage of greenkeepers
Qualified greenkeepers are scarce. Repetitive mowing eats up time that should go to skilled work.
Dew and wet mornings
Dew on greens affects ball roll and encourages disease. Removing dew is yet another round.
Noise and emissions
Conventional mowers are loud and emit fumes, precisely when members and neighbours would rather have peace and quiet.
The robot follows your schedule.
You decide when the machine works. These are the three most common scenarios.
Before sunrise
Mowing and dew removal happen at night, quietly and emission-free. By the first tee time, the course is ready.
Driving range
Balls are collected automatically during quiet moments, without anyone driving a picker tractor.
Slopes and roughs
Four-wheel drive and contour-following cutting decks keep slopes and roughs even too.
Which robot suits your grounds?
Not sure? Configure your own machine or request a free field audit.
What golf courses ask us.
How short can the robot mow? +
The FJD RCM01 is a robotic reel mower with a cutting height of 7 to 44 mm, built for fairways and also suitable for tees. Greens are usually cut shorter than 7 mm. For roughs you use a higher setting or a different model.
What happens when golfers are on the course? +
The machine recognises people and obstacles and slows down, steers around or stops. Most courses schedule mowing outside playing hours, at night or early in the morning.
Can the robot also collect balls on the driving range? +
Yes. The FJD Rough Ranger can be fitted with a module for collecting and unloading balls. That keeps the range clear without a picker tractor.
How does installation work on a large course? +
We scan the course, define the work zones and no-go zones and plan the routes. For large courses, we recommend a fleet of several machines, managed from one dashboard.
